Title 19. Hallie Harriman

Description Hallie Harriman being interview on Aug. 25, 1992. The original tape was transferred onto a CD by the Maine Folklife Center. We have a copy of the original tape. The tape was originally transcribed by Susan Van Dehey in 1994 and that transcription was edited in 2011 by Irene St. Germain. Harriman discusses a variety of events, mostly occuring in North Lovell: the murders of Cal McKeen and Harold Hill's wife and mother-in-law; Stephen McAllister; Levi Butters, sings during World War II; the Kezar Lake players. She talks about William Fairburn, Robert Fairburn, managing Deamond Match and the sale of the property. She also spoke about her two years serving in the state legislature.
