Description Interview with Leo Bell at his home in Lovell about his work for Joseph Deering and Diamond Match Company on the Saco River. Leo worked as a portable mill operator and timber cruiser for Deering, as well as river driving for Deering and some for the Match Co. For the most part, he worked for Deering and tended his farm in Fryeburg. He was ninety one years old at the time of the interview., Sept. 15, 1980. Transcribed. The original is the property of the Maine Folklife Center.
