Lovell as a Resort Town Scrapbook, 1952 - 1992.01.0292

In 1952 the 3rd through 8th grade classes at Annie Heald School compiled a scrapbook titled "Lovell as a Resort Town". The book included a short history of tourism in Lovell, town vital statistics, information on businesses, churches and organizations and a group of letters written by seasonal residents and visitors to Lovell. The students had sent out letters to "well-known people who spend their vacations here, have camps or have homes of their own here". They also sent letters to people who stayed at Rudy Vallee's Camp. A copy of the scrapbook can be found in the file category "Histories of Lovell".

Keewaydin Journals, Vol. I & II - 2004.11.0078

Copy of two journals written by Arthur P. Stone, titled the "Keewaydin Journals". The journals recount Stone's time spent at Kezar Lake and Lovell from 1889 until 1954. Keewaydin was the name of his camp which he built on Rattlesnake Island. The camp stood from 1901 until 2001, when it was torn down and another put in its place. Included in the journals are essays regarding people he knew and stories he was told. Both volumes are in one notebook, and the original journals can be found in the archival box titled "Arthur P. Stone".

Journal of Arthur P. Stone, Keewaydin Volume I - 2004.11.0080

Journal kept by Arthur P. Stone about his time spent in Lovell, titled the Keewaydin Journal, which was the name of his camp on Kezar Lake. Volume I spans the years 1889 - 1939 when the Rattlesnake Island owners had a 50th reunion. Included in this journal are photographs of the reunion, some of his reminiscences of people and places, the recording of when the ice was out on Kezar from 1901 until 1990, and a fishing log from 1901 until 1907.
