Postcard of Rudy Vallee's Lodge. During Photo Day in 2000, Al Stearns made the following comments: "[This is a postcard] of Rudy Vallee's lodge. It shows the tennis court, the badminton court, the main boat house and a picture of his famous boat, Banjo Eyes, docked out in front of the lodge. And that boat was so big it couldn't go underneath the Narrows Bridge. And I heard at a later date that it sunk and that it's still at the bottom of Kezar. I don't know if it's really true, but they say it was sunk right out front of there, of course it's very very deep water there. That was a big job every year getting that out of the lake. I remember my father used to help. My uncle used to be caretaker up there, Fred Stearns. And they had to put down these long rails into the water and it'd take pulley blocks and stuff to pull that up out of the lake. Eddie Cantor gave that boat to him, that's how it became Banjo Eyes."
