Four oversized photos of the device Bennett McDaniels and William C. Brooks patented in 1931 for improving ice cutting machines. William C. Brooks Jr. said the invention was made by Bennett McDaniels, who once lived on Christian Hill, and Wm. Brooks, Sr. helped arrange for the patent etc. Sadly, the need for great quantities of ice was no longer, with the advent of electric refrigeration.
