Notes	Intentions of Marriage entered Apr 19, 1875 Married Apr. 23, 1875 by Rev. Elias S. Foster Buried in Cemetery No. 4. Mentioned in birth certificate of child. Burial permit gives the cause of death as pneumonia. Lovell Family Records give his birthdate in Baldwin, ME as Sept. 6, 1829 but his headstone give the date as Sept. 2, 1831. Death certificate gives his age of death as 74 years, 6 months, and 1 day, which supports the Sept. 6, 1829 date. Earl McAllister wrote the following about him: "My great grandfather, the son of Eliphalet & Clarissa (Hutchins) Gilman. His middle name was Hutchins. Born Sept. 6, 1829 in Lovell Records. at Baldwin, Maine. Gravestone reads born Sept. 2, 1831. He died at Lovell, Me. March 7, 1904 and was buried at the #4 Cemetery in Lovell. He married Emma Kneeland of Waterford, Me. They had 8 children. Etta being the only girl, the 5th child. He was a strong man, responsible for building many of the stonewalls in the Lovell township and vicinity."
