Intentions of Marriage published Oct 10, 1846. (Shows John McDaniels Jr. but probably John 3rd) Moved to Cambria County, PA in 1860. The following description came from David Crouse in the Summer 2008 issue of Cold River Chronicle: "In Pennsylvania he was engaged in the lumber and mercantile business and was interested in oil lands; in 1869 he moved to Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa, where he was a farmer. For several years he was proprietor of the McDaniels Bank of Atlantic, which was succeeded by the Atlantic National Bank in which he was one of the principal stockholders." |
