Barn Doors From Eastman Johnson's "Corn Husking" Painting - 2008.38.0001
Fourteen photos of the barn and barn doors that were used as a backdrop for Eastman Johnson's "Corn Husking" painting. In 1981 Bob Goldberg and Sam Robbins purchased the set of doors from Seth Buchanan, who at the time owned the "Day" farm on Fish Street in Fryeburg. Since then, the doors have been stored in the loft of the Kimball-Stanford Barn, even after several changes in ownership over the years.

Sam & Sheila Robbins In Front of Barn Doors - 2009.01.0024
On July 28, 2008, Sam and Sheila Robbins visited the Lovell Historical Society. Sam is an investment counselor from West Newton, MA, his wife is a pianist, and both are serious collectors of White Mountains paintings. The purpose of their visit was to donate to the Lovell Historical Society a set of barn doors originally from the Day house on Fish Street in Fryeburg.
