Portrait of George Whitehouse, who died in 1919. There are tape recorded comments by Carolyn Carter in 2000 to accompany the scanned photo: "That's George Whitehouse. He was the son of Sally and John Whitehouse. Sally and John had five children, and he would be number three. George Whitehouse just stayed there on the farm with his parents, and when he did marry, he was past forty years old, and he and his wife had eight children after that. And they moved back to the family farm and raised their children there." Carolyn Carter in 2017 said that George wanted to serve in the Civil War but was too young. Taken from Photo CD #2.
