Portrait of Annie Heald School. The photo was used in the publication "The Lovell News" with the following caption: "The Annie Heald School, pictured above, was built in 1922 and was a signficant improvement over the town’s one-room schoolhouses. The school had slate blackboards, toilets and an electric clock. Situated next to the library in Lovell Village, the school building was devastated by fire on March 24, 1986. Fortunately, seventy children were led to safety, thinking they were participating in a fire drill." Used in the Fall 2016 Newsletter. |
