Gilman family members posing by a woodpile. Elmore "Shiner" Gilman is in back with a young Wayne Gilman and Charles E. Clark (smoking a pipe). The photo was used in the publication "The Lovell News" with the following caption: "Three Gilman family members are pictured above: Elmore "Shiner" Gilman (1893-1960) is in back with his son Wayne (1934-2006) and Charles E. Clark (1872-1944), Wayne’s grandfather, is smoking a pipe. Shiner operated a tea room beginning in 1936 which only stayed in business for a few summers. It was located at 74 Kimball Road. He also drove the school bus and was the butcher at the Kimball & Walker General Store for many years. At the time of his death Shiner worked at the Center Lovell Market." Taken from Photo CD #2. |
